Alzheimer’s Australia’s Carolyne Taplin will present two sessions at the Bendigo Library in February exploring how memory works and what you can do to maximise your brain health.

CEO for the Goldfields Library Corporation, Chris Kelly says that libraries are great place to ‘work out’ to keep your brain healthy.

The redeveloped Bendigo Library will celebrate its first birthday on Wednesday January 28.

The library has been a hit with residents, with staff processing 6,744 new memberships and 4,406 people reactivating their memberships by the end of last year.

The Summer Read is on again at the Goldfields Libraries and with the warm weather already here, it’s time to sit back, relax and lose yourself in a great Victorian book.

Thanks to funding from the State Government and Macedon Ranges Shire Council, Woodend Library will be made more comfortable with air-conditioning, fans, new blinds and new carpet. 

The library and Council Customer Service will close from Wednesday 19 to Monday 24 November 2014 while these improvements are made.  The book chute will be open for returns.

Mobile Library users in the Goldfields Region are set to benefit from a new Mobile Library vehicle which is now on the road.

The Mobile Library has been providing service to communities in the Goldfields Library region for over forty years.
