Goldfields Libraries is delighted with the response to its second Mindfulness Colouring Competition held in January. Like last year, a range of colourful, high quality entries was submitted from both genders, representing various age groups and geographic locations.

Due to public demand, more tickets have been opened up to see Bruce Pascoe speak at Bendigo Library.

Bruce, a Bunurong man and author of ‘Dark Emu - Black Seeds: Agriculture or Accident?’, will challenge the ‘hunter-gatherer’ tag given to pre-colonial Aboriginal Australians.

“Book clubs are a great way to meet new people or have fun with a group of friends, and January is a great time to start things!” said Sue Mooney, Goldfields Library Corporation Acting Programs and Events Coordinator.

The Chinese New Year of the Rooster will go off with a bang at Bendigo Library on Tuesday 31 January!

In classic Bendigo style, the Central Victorian Lion Team and the Fu Wa Team will delight with a noisy and spectacular traditional welcome inside the library. The performance is from 5.30-6pm and is not to be missed!
