Calling all writers!
Goldfields Libraries and the Eaglehawk Dahlia & Arts Festival are calling for entries from writers all over Australia for the annual Mulga Bill Writing Awards.
The 2022 festival celebrates 50 years of the Dahlia + Arts, and writers are encouraged to take inspiration from the theme ‘celebration’ and submit a poem or short story.

Kangaroo Flat will receive its biggest street art project to date this September thanks to a joint project between Goldfields Libraries, Anglicare, Bike Bendigo and local street artist collective Nacho Station. Funding has been provided by Healthy Heart of Victoria.

Bendigo Library is showcasing the lives, abilities, and awesomeness of children with disabilities this month with an inspiring and heart-warming photographic exhibition by award-winning photographer and author Rachel Callander.

The Sydney Writers' Festival Live and Local program returns to Goldfields Libraries following the post-Covid hiatus! Located in both Bendigo and Castlemaine Library, Bendigo will be bringing Sydney Writers Festival via Livestream from Friday 30th April-Sunday 2nd of May. Livestream sessions across the libraries and their addresses are as listed below.

After 13 wonderful years with Goldfields Libraries, Lulu Cockram will be stepping down from her role as Woodend Library Manager.
Lulu joined the Goldfields Libraries team in 2008 as a casual at the Kyneton branch before moving on to become the Manager at Woodend in 2010.
