Spring is buzzing at the Goldfields Libraries
The Goldfields Libraries is presenting a range of events and activities to celebrate spring. A new seasonal program of events is now available placing special emphasis on connection and the natural environment.
Acting CEO for the Goldfields Library Corporation, Pam Sheean said this season is full of exciting collaborations and programs for all ages.
“One of our key activities for spring is the Trees, Webs and Hives program and we are thrilled to present a range of partnership activities exploring the wonderful world of bees, birds and nature.”
“We also have a number of collaborations taking place with festivals across the region including the Kyneton Daffodil and Arts Festival and the Castlemaine Children’s Literature Festival. Both events include great partnership activities for the whole family to enjoy.”
“Our new brochure also includes popular regular programs for children and young adults including Storytime events and the ever popular school holiday program”
“Our programming for adults is really exciting this season with guest speakers, visiting authors, creative workshops, iPad sessions and a new ‘Appy Hour’ series beginning in September” Said Ms Sheean
This weekend Bendigo Library is celebrating spring with a special event exploring the wonderful world of bees. An introductory talk exploring the story of the bee and a screening of the movie More than Honey will take place at the Bendigo Library from 10.30am on Saturday 6thSeptember.
