Women of the War Exhibition and Launch Event at Castlemaine Library

This Saturday 24th October Mayor Christine Henderson will be officially opening a new exhibition called Women Of The War at Castlemaine Library.

Women Of The War is a collection of photographs and stories of women who worked during the war, paying tribute to all women who served their nation both at home and abroad.

There will be a screening of the short film recording of the Bendigo Youth Choir performing the song “Women of the War”, followed by some accounts of these strong, resilient women.

Tea, coffee and cake will be provided following the launch.

The exhibition will be on display from Friday 23rd October to Friday 20th November, during library opening hours.

This is a free event, but bookings are required for the launch for catering purposes. All most welcome.
