Orchestra Victoria Chamber Concert Series at Bendigo Library
Orchestra Victoria will present four free lunchtime chamber concerts at Bendigo Library from Tuesday 18 – Friday 21 August between 1:30-2:30pm.
The concert series is part of the week-long Orchestra Victoria Bendigo Festival and is earmarked as a major classical music highlight for regional Victoria this winter.
The audience will have the opportunity to meet and greet with the Orchestra’s award winning players after each concert at the Library’s Red Well Café.
Each day’s concert will be different, and will feature a range of classical music. Friday’s session will also include a reed making demo and insights into how woodwind instruments work.
Pop-up concerts will also be held during the Festival, along with events at other locations across Bendigo including Ulumbarra Theatre, The Capital, Bendigo Art Gallery, Bendigo Bank, Bendigo Town Hall and Sacred Heart Cathedral.
The Festival is the Orchestra’s most ambitious event yet staged in regional Victoria, and promises to inspire audiences through music.
The Festival is presented in partnership with Bendigo Bank, along with support from the William Buckland Foundation and the City of Greater Bendigo.
The Bendigo Library concerts are free, and bookings are not required.
