Harrison Craig comes to Bendigo Library for Storytime
Harrison Craig, a United Way Australia Early Learning Ambassador, accomplished singer and now author, will stop by Bendigo Library on Thursday to share his very special book Harrison’s Song.
Harrison won The Voice in 2013, but for many years he struggled to find his own voice. For much of his younger life he battled with a stutter which made everyday conversation very difficult. Harrison’s Song details this struggle, and how he overcame adversity through his love and talent for singing.
Harrison’s Song is now part of the Dolly Parton Imagination Library, a United Way Australia early literacy initiative. The Dolly Parton Imagination Library encourages the love of books and reading by providing the gift of a free book each month for children who need them most. More than 200 children living within the City of Greater Bendigo are currently registered as part of the program.
Please come along for a special photo opportunity as Harrison reads his book and inspires children to search for and use their own talent to overcome any hurdles they may face.
When: Thursday 10 October, 10.30-11.15am
Where: Bendigo Library, 251-259 Hargreaves Street, Bendigo
We would like to thank our friends at Communities for Children and Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library for making Harrison’s visit possible.
