Dr Debra Campbell in Conversation with the Art of Healing
Bendigo and Castlemaine Libraries are looking forward to warmly welcoming award-winning author and psychologist Dr Debra Campbell, who will be interviewed by Cate Mercer, editor and publisher of national health and wellbeing magazine The Art of Healing, as part of Mental Health Week.
Dr Campbell consults on everything from relationships to panic, to depression and grief. In what promises to be a lively and interesting conversation, she will talk with Cate about what types of assistance are available for people with mental health issues, and how to find help and effective solutions.
Dr Campbell’s thesis on love and emotional intelligence won the Relationships category award from The Australian Psychological Society in 2006.
Her recent book Lovelands helps readers understand how to overcome hurt and loss and become the hero of their lives.
“We are looking forward to welcoming Dr Campbell, but also to welcoming back Cate Mercer, who did a marvellous job interviewing actor Jack Charles in front of 500 people collectively at Bendigo, Castlemaine and Kyneton Libraries in June,” said Tammy Higgs, Goldfields Library Corporation Programs and Events Manager.
Dr Campbell will speak at Bendigo Library on Wednesday 11 October at 5.30pm, and at Castlemaine Library on Thursday 12 October at 5pm.
There will be book sales and signings at both sessions.
Both presentations are free and bookings are required via www.ncgrl.vic.gov.au/drdebracampbell
