Goldfields Libraries provide flexible meeting and activity spaces for community use at several libraries. Each space is well-equipped with multimedia and audio-visual equipment, high-speed Wi-Fi and versatile seating options, suitable for hosting workshops, seminars, creative events and more.

Bendigo Library

Bendigo Library’s meeting rooms are located on the first floor. Each room has an LCD screen and data points for easy laptop and internet connectivity. Rooms are suitable for meetings, small workshops and group training.

The activity rooms are multi-purpose spaces located on the ground floor. Bi-fold doors can be opened to create one large activity space or easily closed to create two rooms. Both rooms have access to self-catering facilities. Hirers must provide their own tea, coffee and milk. Crockery, glassware and cutlery are provided. The activity rooms are suitable for workshops, training, seminars, events and arts activities.

Catering can be arranged by your choice of external caterer for all meeting and activity rooms.

A discount of 25% for each session will apply for regular bookings (minimum one session per month over a six-month period).

Castlemaine Library’s Tammia’long Room is suitable for meetings, small workshops and group training. It has an LCD screen and data points for easy laptop and internet access, and features the stunning bespoke artwork of Dharug Ngiyampaa artist Donna Conley, Deep Listening.

Kangaroo Flat Library

Kangaroo Flat Library’s meeting room/community space is suitable for meetings, workshops, group training or creative events. It has a large LCD touchscreen with easy laptop connection and internet access, as well as direct entry to the library’s colourful garden atrium. A small kitchenette provides tea and coffee facilities.

Romsey Library

Woodend Library

Woodend Library is part of the Woodend Community Centre, which has two meeting rooms/community spaces managed by Macedon Ranges Shire Council. The Community Centre Hall and the Community Centre Multi-Purpose Room are suitable for meetings, workshops, group training or creative events and have internet connectivity. Both rooms have access to self-catering facilities, including tea and coffee options. Catering can be arranged by your choice of external caterer. Very limited crockery and glassware are provided.

After-hours access is available.
