FAQ's

What if I don't give permission for my image to be used?
We will only use your image if you give us written permission via our Image Release Form. If no permission is given, we will not use your image.

What if I don't want my photo taken at all?
Our staff will always let you know if they will be taking photos at an event or program. If you do not wish to have your photo taken, please inform a staff member who will ensure you are not included.

I'm under 18. Can I sign the Image Release Form?
No. If you are under 18 you must have the Image Release Form signed by a legal guardian.

What if I change my mind after I've left the library?
If you sign an Image Release Form and then change your mind, that's fine. Just give the library a call and let a staff member know. We will then delete any photos with your image.

Do I have to sign an Image Release Form? Can I give verbal permission? I've done that in the past.
In order for us to your an photo or video containing your image, we must have a signed Image Release Form. We have changed our processes and verbal permission is no longer accepted.

I've already signed an Image Release Form for a previous event. Do I need to fill in another one?
Yes. Our Image Release Forms include event details, so we need a new Image Release Form for each event.

Can I request a copy of the photos you take?
Yes. Please get in touch with your local library and a staff member will be able to help you out.
