Community Initiatives
Seed Libraries: Available at our branches in Castlemaine, Eaglehawk, Kangaroo Flat, Kyneton, Romsey and Woodend. Read more here.
Community Gardens: Located at libraries in Bendigo, Kangaroo Flat, Romsey and Pyramid Hill
Plant and produce swaps: Held at Kangaroo Flat and Axedale Library Agency, with occasional events at Dingee Library Agency.
Sustainable House Kits: Available to borrow from all libraries. Reserve one here.
Sports Equipment Library: Available at Heathcote Library. Read more here.
eWaste Collection Bins: Located at Bendigo, Gisborne, Kangaroo Flat, Romsey and Woodend libraries. Gisborne and Woodend libraries are also dedicated TerraCycle collection points. Read more about eWaste in the City of Greater Bendigo, Loddon Shire, Macedon Ranges Shire and Mount Alexander Shire.
Aquariums: Linked to sustainability initiatives at Bendigo Creek at Bendigo and Kangaroo Flat libraries. Read more here.

Solar Panels: Installed at Bendigo, Castlemaine, Gisborne, Kangaroo Flat, Romsey and Woodend libraries
Resource Management: Implementing energy-efficient practices and reducing waste where possible at all libraries.
