Love reading and participating in interesting discussions with like-minded people? Joining a book club might be just the thing for your new year’s resolution list!

“Book clubs are a great way to meet new people or have fun with a group of friends, and January is a great time to start things!” said Sue Mooney, Goldfields Library Corporation Acting Programs and Events Coordinator.

The Chinese New Year of the Rooster will go off with a bang at Bendigo Library on Tuesday 31 January!

In classic Bendigo style, the Central Victorian Lion Team and the Fu Wa Team will delight with a noisy and spectacular traditional welcome inside the library. The performance is from 5.30-6pm and is not to be missed!

People of all ages are invited to relax this Summer with the Goldfields Libraries Mindfulness Colouring Competition. Some awesome Mindfulness Colouring books will be up for grabs for a few lucky winners!

Children aged 5-12 years are invited to explore super heroes and their villainous counterparts at Goldfields Libraries these school holidays in the annual Summer Reading Club!

Over 150 children have signed up to ‘1000 Books Before School’ in the first week since the program was launched by Goldfields Libraries on Friday 25 November. Children have enjoyed receiving special balloons at library storytime sessions throughout the week to celebrate the launch of the program.
